If you think you know how to use minitab, here's a challenge I got from one of our GBs:
He needs a set of numbers from 0 to 1.300 in alternating steps of 5 and 25.
Start: 0; 5; 30; 35; 60; 65; 90; 95; 120; 125; ...
I really appreciate you helping me, so I'm not loosing my reputation totally...

Champion commitment
We at Kroger are considering creating a "contract" of sorts with our champions. This is not a legally binding contract, but one based on good faith. We are going to be asking champions and the greenbelt candidates they send to training to sign a document that outlines the expectations of certification, and the time committment needed to become certified. By signing, each person is declaring that they understand the expectations and agree to complete the requirements and drive change in the organization.
Does anyone else have anything like that in place? How is it working? Looking for advice on this one. I'm a bit conflicted.

Belts and Requirements
Carsten and Mick have been having a great discussion about Belts and requirements for each Belt. I thought it interesting enough that maybe we could devote a new blog entry to it. With that in mind, if everyone contributes, maybe we can develop a hierarchy of what the levels are and how it all fits together. This is something I don't have a lot of familiarity with because of being a "one man show". (and yes, you can insert "one man circus side-show" into the previous sentence if you feel the urge :-)
Hope everyone is doing well. I was asked to chair a meeting this afternoon with my upper management so that I could teach them basic TRIZ and then allow them to apply it to a "contradiction" problem we are faced with. So, I've read my fair share of TRIZ over the last day and am excited to see how they take the information and use it on one of our problems. Wish me luck.

the nickname is out
Well class, it's time you found out the my nickname (adopted in gold belt class) is dr feelgood. Not for the classical reasons. I tend to be the "voice of dissention" in many conversations, that led to the name. Looking forward to reading some success stories on here.
Work now: do any of you have a yellow belt test/exam that I can re-apply?
